Maybe we don’t share that goal, maybe we do. But saying “hold your horses, WCAG 3 is not ready, and determining compliance is probably more complicated than the raw Lc value” is not misrepresenting the facts.
Feel free to ignore or block me. I have voiced my concerns in the past

So very true I bitched at you but you are right honesty very hard found these days maybe ever. I defend @yatil because we go back many decades and I love him for all he has done for our community and accessibility and I have this loyal aspect to my nature that can startle me too

No need to defend me. Apparently asking for clarifications, and stating that WCAG 3 is not ready, are “lies”.
They’ll face the same and more scrutiny later in the W3C process.
I want a new algorithm sooner than anyone but also avoid past mistakes.

It was a visceral reaction because I respect you. But I did not have the full facts I do agree none of us want to repeat the same mistakes look at where we are and what we thought we were doing right turns out to be all wrong

-...and it was not a painless experience, everyone here climbing the learning curve at once. circa 2005(?) when they were working on WCAG2 contrast, the email archive shows many raised flags about the problems... And at that time it wasn't well understood even here in Hollywood.+
