Watch party with my brother and his partner they chose Young Frankenstein I forgot how damn funny this movie is. Epic!

This movie was a big hit as most Mel Brooks stuff was in my family growing up but this one is my favorite of his movies everybody is just so funny and what talent it's a great trip down memory lane and boy does it hold up through the years

Something to keep in mind is 1974 is almost definitely Mel's best commercial year. Blazing Saddles in February, Young Frankenstein in December. Both hold up great.

I'm in Tucson my bro and his partner Albany we just had the best time watching my brother and I remember my mother who had a notoriously terrible singing voice anyone would have had bad fortune to have heard used to sing sweet Mystery of Life like Madeline Kahn so funny

What Mel Brooks work is not worthy of worship? I don't think there is one. It occurred to me that most of the people he worked with were stage actors and that also played into the quality of what they did in film. But I do have a real soft spot for Young Frankenstein
