Everyone is making me laugh right now. I am grateful for my friends and the fact that they are very witty. I have stage 4 cirrhosis and it didn't come from alcohol. I told the doctor well damn why did I drink that much then? true story he tried not to laugh.

Good don't. I didn't know. I also was not a lifelong Drinker I started drinking heavily for about 4 years and it wasn't everyday if I had kept going it would have killed me by now.

When I open a bottle of wine with my wife, it usually leaves the table empty. Maybe I am getting old for this sport, but I did practice a lot.

And when you start drinking it all probably what saved me is I didn't have much more than a little drop of Manischewitz on Passover until well into my forties and stopped within the same decade. Alcohol is in fact a terribly horribly Dangerous Drug.

It is ok as long as you can see (and appreciate) the wine. But it (as you state) gets bad when the alcohol takes over.
