How do folks shake off overwhelming grief and loss? It seems like people do it a lot better than I can, a lot fast than I have, and I want to know how. I am truly tired of being haunted.

That's exactly my experience. I'll have moments of okay-ness, and bam! Some thought or ache or memory just overwhelms me.
