Has Scotland now twinned with Arizona?! Anything above 8°C (46°C) and I'm in my shorts. (I'm not kidding, either.) It was only 27°C (80°C) yesterday but that's a lot for this usually temperate nation on the edge of the North Atlantic. The ave. mean temp is 7°C!

Well, when we hit 129F in Death Valley recently, known for generations for not just exteme weather from moment to moment at times, that was sobereing. It was lower than 22C at brekkie. By dinner, only a mild increase to 37C. I am lucky, we are fully solar at my apartments, wshew.

Can I get you a hot tea? (People in the UK found my ice obsession laughable. ;) )

I'll take the ice please. A couple of weeks ago, my children and I each had a freezer block that we were using like a reverse hot water bottle.

The weather shifts have changed our situation unfortunately now they're vacillating as to how long the monsoon will last. it is what it . world is Under Siege with climate change. I'd asked for an iced tea get laughed at and get one or two tubes of quickly melting ice lol

Ah! Now I understand. I don't drink hot tea so it didn't even occur to me that you may be able to order iced tea here. The only folks I've known to drink iced tea were my American cousins in California and Hawaii.

Ah, now we enter the Iced Tea Multitculturalism. Many Arizonan's do NOT add sweetener or milk to iced tea. Top of glass for iice and fresh lemon are preferred. But don't order that in Mississipi without an expectation of dismay! Any noticeable diffs between CA/HI iced tea?

My Hawaiian cousin ordered a large iced tea at a drive through. When asked if she wanted sugar, she looked aghast. "No! Do you have any Sweet'n Low?" "Yes, how many would you like?" "Twenty, please." Me: 😳
