What has been most hurtful and untrue biased based on assumptions of what others think about you that is as far from reality as imaginable? Community and group issues too. If I can quote for book lmk attributiono. I am so appreciative. xo/m #CognitiveBias #BiasCascade #Exclusion

At present, the assumption that everyone in my age group voted for brexit, is selfish, doesn't care about the environment, and doesn't care about the young. For decades it was my hope that there'd be a young generation who embraced belonging to the world and care for the planet.

Now that's finally happening, but it seems to be combined with a hatred for our generation and an assumption that we're the enemy of what they stand for. There's real vitriol directed at us as a group. We suffered the Thatcher government, we repeatedly tried to get rid of it

We opposed making students pay for their education, etc etc, but now we are blamed for its actions. Which the majority of us opposed. It only had power because of our unjust voting system.

And the whole thing is rather frightening, since the ones expressing this hate are of an age where they'll be deciding what happens to us in our old age.

Who at heart do you believe is perpetuating this ageist bulllshit? Because I'm feeling assaulted by a certain faction as the references I make go over their heads. I once cursed Thatcher in a pub for sicking military on labor. People don't care. They don't have to. Yet.

I'm really not sure. Part of it is just frustration at their situation I think, and unawareness of the past. But I suspect that like with everything else, there are people interested in stirring up division for its own sake.
