This tweet from Victor regarding negation of semantics is a very common response. Semantics is the meaning and logic of language. Is is logical to describe race as color/light? I'm disabled. Have I no abilities? Is inclusive exclusive? Does Universal Design meet all needs? #a11y
You know, I have actually met some who think of semantics in a negative light as in “oh, it’s just semantics”. How do we combat that attitude? :)

I think this is a real issue. So many people think semantics = fussy, picky word choices, which leads to that awful "just" semantics. Maybe we need a term with less day-to-day baggage. "Accurate markup"?

IT IS THE issue in declarative languages for the Web. Yes to fussy, no to changing semantic to accurate because words do have mutliple meanings. Accuracy is more like specificity in this context. Logic x meaning = semantics. Semantic accuracy is choosing a specific meaning. :)
