Anyone using otter.ai for #voice #transcription? It's browser-based so it fits my hunger for something cross-platform. It is a paid service with 600 minutes free per month. It's useful. Looking at others too. So far, it's kept up with my mouth! #a11y (FYI @vavroom)

I have a different use case (captioning video content for YouTube), but I’ve been using Amazon’s speech recognition service and finding it helpful. I like that it’s pay-as-you-go rather than a monthly fee.

I was thinking this could be used for exactly that. I haven't tried Amazon speech service. I am a reluctant Prime Member and customer due to personal disgust with the corporation but 'needs must and all that' my dear KoB! I'll look.

Yeah I know what you mean, but AWS is where all my stuff is already.
