When something has been broken for long enough in a software system, fixing it becomes far more difficult. Other parts of the application will have changed to treat the broken behavior as correct. So the "fix" then breaks those areas. #SoftwareDevelopment

Ain't that the truth. I've been there and done that and do not want to return! Then again the rewards can be very valuable and that bug bashing definitely can help prevent problems Upstream. Stomp those bugs!
