It’s been a big year for gender and pronouns at my house and I’m proud to announce I’ve had a daughter all along! Be kind to your kids.

It's so refreshing after years of vitriol. Also, your challenge to the word disability caused me to flip my script. Instead of taking away words, how about altering meaning via signs and symbols such as wheelchair. But for weight gain/loss of 135 lbs I was "invisible" for 50 yrs.

I totally get it. I've basically been three disabilities in a trench coat this whole time.

Did you get the full "but you can't because you are so energetic and driven?" I was toast by 22 and pushed my life forward no matter what others thought on my own. Not one family member helped or showed up for hospitalizations or to Arizona Oncology's repeat invitations to talk.

Yep! Used to pass out randomly in university and basically survived on caffeine for years. I’m sorry your family is like that. Aside from the husband who literally ran off in the night, I had a lot of great support and help when I had cancer. It made a huge difference.
