What three televised news reports left images I most often remember? I'm in the UK, born in 1971. Mine are: 1982 Falklands war (on our new colour TV) 1990 Gulf war (woke up my uni flatmates when I heard the news on the radio; we watched it on TV) 2001 September 11 attacks

Hey Gareth I think sometimes location means so much and other times it doesn't one example is the shared long lasting destruction of people in our world. The Falklands were especially big news in the United States and your other two choices affected the world and Lasting ways!

Yes, I agree. That's why I added my location because I wasn't sure how the Falklands was covered outside of the UK. Interesting that it was such a big story in the US. The other two obviously were. For each, I still remember the shock and deep sadness.

Many in the US didn't realize the reasons for the Flakland issue, but that it happened was a good education for those that didn't learn history which is sadly a majority. Worldwide no less.
