Need some input and you may get quoted ;-) What do you feel are the most important or the most important needs we should retain as we evolve the Web? Choices can be from any area of Web design, dev, UX, #a11y etc. Thank you!

As the web evolves, involve those who use it. The web has a history of making decisions for everyone from an ivory tower. We need to co-create with the full range of users, instead of believing we know best. We don’t. That’s why we have such inaccessible experiences.

I have a very different take than that having been in the w3c working groups and see how specifications are made it is an extremely difficult job. Where it has been dictated is web browsers and the individuals and groups who were outside that annihilated the declarative web

I’m involved in the working groups now. It is tedious. It’s the people, users, not browsers/builders/groups, that I would like to see included. I’d like to make sure the web serves people, and the world, instead of forcing/stealing.

I never found the w3c tedious so much as difficult and long days and nights of work but I loved it. We have different opinions and it may be because of timing, Leadership and people. The w3c as a group was not meant to educate devs. W3c specs are browser implementation first
