Need some input and you may get quoted ;-) What do you feel are the most important or the most important needs we should retain as we evolve the Web? Choices can be from any area of Web design, dev, UX, #a11y etc. Thank you!

As the web evolves, involve those who use it. The web has a history of making decisions for everyone from an ivory tower. We need to co-create with the full range of users, instead of believing we know best. We don’t. That’s why we have such inaccessible experiences.

I have a very different take than that having been in the w3c working groups and see how specifications are made it is an extremely difficult job. Where it has been dictated is web browsers and the individuals and groups who were outside that annihilated the declarative web

A renewed emphasis on web standards, along with more formal training for web developers. (And these are related)

I'd be happy with a real semantic web you know like it was supposed to grow into

Accessibility also means information management, and not enough attention is paid to utility of content over where you want someone to click. More info less marketing jargon. Especially noticeable navigating with my child.

I could not agree with you more Erin we talked about the digital divide I don't know if you were in the session but it is getting worse because of what we're doing technologically as well as socially and vice versa. It affects us all.

I want the old web back in terms of the open web stack no Frameworks of any kind no BS and I moved toward real uppercase semantic web. The nerdier a linguist I become the more it makes sense. But people are caught up Imo in JavaScript and Frameworks and the one page app

The only piece that must exist is #a11y. If everyone is unable to access your design/framework/standard/etc it serves no useful purpose.

I think the web should be evolved in the removal of child porn. I have a crypto concept that can work to completely rids the internet of child poem with the cooperation of certain hosts. Upon discovery you can be rewarded in $hell coin for any information that helps delete these.
