Both and continue to both. Education, learning, knowledge and using it are the value system I was raised with and have chosen in adulthood, too. Knowledge is power - certainly a form of it.
Are you self taught or did you go to college/university? Are you happy with your choice?

I first went to college for my BA in Finance and MA in Education, but now I mainly refer to the Internet for learning web dev. I'm happy with both as the former taught me how to learn so that I can continue with the latter

That's really interesting especially right now as I refine my goals for my Ph.D. starting in late August this year. I am looking at Sustainable Education and one area of note is the failure to evolve much less sustain a viable model for webdev in general and specialties as well.

My life is full of planned and unexpected turns but I believe women should not be limited to one role during their entire career. I plan to pursue a PhD later because now I feel the urge to help build online learning platforms for Vietnamese.

That's incredibly cool and we should chat sometime about online learning. My M.A. from The New School for Social Research was the first fully accredited BBS-based (then) higher degree pre-Web. Ran off of servers at NJIT. And these kids think it's a whole new thang! As for limited

I'm overwhelmed by your diverse experience, which motivates me to explore the world further. The more I learn about something cool out there, the better I understand my inner self. Can't wait to talk with you about online learning in general and dev education in Vietnam

I will never stop hungering for exploring culture, peoples, individuals and our many expressions via arts, language, food, science x infinity so long as I have the capacity to do so. I do not understand boredom. At all. :)

Omg same. The reason why I keep shifting my career is I'm craving learning. At first I felt guilty as my parents are worried abt my future. But when I was very ill, my only concern was that I haven't explored Europe or mastered my web dev LOL

HA! "Web dev mastery" might make a publisher happy as a book title but it's not possible with evolutionary tech. I'm now curious about your condition. I've had a lifetime of medical awful but for about 12 years I shoved as much travel and conference work. Still not enough travel!

That's a common title for many dev courses out there, too haha. This Covid situation may prevent you from travelling but it can't stop your meaningful contribution to the community. I already booked a slot for your next talk.

Replying to @thuyet311
I do love the F2F but it isn't just Covid but my blood health that limits travel should we find ourselves free to move about the cabin without fear of infection. And I'm honored! :)
