Deeep breath! Jersey girl? I've lived in Arizona my adult life but was born in Brooklyn and Jersey raised. Saw that down the shore and laughed :)

Yes a Jersey Girl now loving the dessert. Down the shore is always my breadcrumbs to find other Jerseyeans.

Seaside Heights, Belmar, Asbury, Atlantic City... when people say "down TO the shore" it's a dead giveaway they aren't authentic Jersey ;) Of course I have to ask "what exit?" I think I was near 138 GSP. Maplewood/South Orange but lived in Somerset, East Brunswick, Livingston

I was raised by 139 in Union. Then exit 100 Ocean Grove and later 107 Red Bank. Yes, I've seen Bruce show up and play at The Pony.

Union? My mother was a professor at Kean College (now Kean University) for 35 years, and I used to go see Rocky Horror Show (I'm old heh) at the theater there. I first saw Bruce at a house party. He was sitting behind a door on the floor playing acoustic in the 80s. He was an ass

My sister went to Kean when it was Newark State.

Yep! Was Newark State then too! It's been a long time since I've thought about this. Both of my brothers got their B.A.s at Rutgers. My M.A. was The New School for Social Research in NY, undergrad here. At that time my mom was teaching English, so they could have crossed paths.

My sister became an EdD at Rutgers and a high ranking administrator there.

Wow! I want to say "small world" but it seems awful small these days as it is ;-) We have some interesting New Jersey overlap!

It's amazing isn't it? I moved to New Mexico and met a woman who taught my best friend's daughter in Jersey.

That's wild. I had a friend now gone who moved here from NYC and his next door neighbor grew up in NYC in the next building but they'd never met! Wild :)
