He was repetitively saying you are fired and given all the power in fiction TV. It reinforced a lifetime of that shit and then he went on to use it against his own citizens that's how I see it at least your mileage may vary.

I’m not sure who first said it, but “fascism always takes a form that reflects the character of a nation” so *of course* for the United States it was always going to be a reality star.
