Here is a question I really struggle with: Why do Americans have a higher tolerance for COVID killing us, a higher tolerance for guns killing us, and a higher tolerance for our neighbors being hungry than citizens from virtually every other country?

Because we pretend we're not a violent country when we are one of the most violent countries. That's my best guess either that or we're just too involved in our own Pursuits I don't really think that's it though I think there's an inherent denial.
