Were you around for Netscape/IE DOM issues during the DHTML (Dynamic HTML) era? Or geocities. We think the horror! But I also think it's a horror when a checkbox check forces a refresh Every. Damned. Time.

No I missed all of that fortunately. I think I caught the tail end of browser incompatibility with IE9+. Things are much much better now. But we have new issues like build tools, a loss of accessibility etc.

There weree accessibility issues before the first GUI browser! Most related to buy-in as now. Tools are way too complicated. I suspect it factors in to why folks are so weird with #CSS Cascade and Specificity. Learn the specs, the browsers, rely on savvy not machines is my take!
