She is weak and trembling, she is alone and traumatized. She has waited for five hours for treatment that would take less than 20 minutes. She is poor, her warrior husband dead from Agent Orange and she is meaningless, alone and therefore insane.

Same here. You are not worthless, like they made you feel. I’m sure you feel alone, but we’re here. I wonder if the @NVRDC or @RAINN could help, or if there are VA resources.

They are saying they can't treat anybody but covid-19 patients and there are not enough doctors and I would not sit in a hospital 5 hours waiting for treatment with all of this crap going on I'd rather die of an infection or fight it out myself. Hospitals are insane asylums.

Hospitals are rarely set up for sexual assault victims, in my experience. Do you have a Rape crisis center in your area? The victim advocates help a lot!

Yes, I spent the day waiting for medical care with an advocate from @SACASA_AZ who did her honest best but had less empowerment in the end than I did. They have been with me the whole way. They are noble and kind and good and cannot change a diseased system.
