I completely despise today's World Wide Web and by extension all technology it spawns. It is used by humans to break, maim, murder, cleanse, enslave. For profit. Humanity is sick. But I don't know how to break from it without the honest loving friends. I hate phones. #IFailedLife

RIGHT? Loss of one of my life's greatest passions. I still hang on to good, we have to to cope at all, but what humans do with it now reflects more dark than light to me at least.

I like to think that for every teenager sitting at home crying, and every troll telling someone to kill them selves that there is one person finally finding their best friend, realising their not alone or even just learning something. It鈥檚 probably naive but it keeps me going

Naive? I very highly doubt that. I would describe your perspective as optimistic and idealistic. Often this is because there are people places anchors in a person's life and that's a wonderful thing treasure it while you have it every single day. Thank you for being kind.

Molly, you didn't fail. There are some very good things about the WWW. Education during a pandemic. The ability to correct misinformation. Getting truth out when people in power lie. You helped to give us a gift. It's not your fault some abuse it. Thank you for what you gave us.

The defining moment for me was 2016 when @EFF @FSF protested @W3C in re #EME at a W3C Advisory meeting in the Stata Center and I realized I was aligned with the ideals no longer what Web once held. Away since 2013 for chemo, Aaron's suicide that year, split world, broken heart.
