I fear page builder tools are the new building sites with tables but it's for a volunteer project with no budget so doing my best, scratching my brain for old CSS skills and still love the simple joy of making a site

I am happy you feel that way. I used to, but found too many years of nostalgia began to rewrite the truths about industry, tech, society, economics. I absolutely hate today's Web.

I hear you. Increasingly an environment where you have to pay for every click, every eye ball. How was that the utopian promise? I know that's the beginning of its ills.
