reCaptcha has a scoring mechanism between 0.0 and 1.0. Lower is assumed to be bot-traffic, and higher human. I set up an interface for testing, and I am consistently scored at or below 0.3—Google thinks I'm a bot: sampson.codes/recaptcha/scor…. Click to see your score.
plz use hcaptcha instead of recaptcha * recaptcha has been serving too many captchas to Brave users for no apparent reason (even with Brave shields protections disabled) * hcaptcha supports the Privacy Pass protocol! hcaptcha.com/privacy-pass

Hi Jonathan - I don't know if this is relevant but I am hitting CAPTCA and related all over .onion that is completly inaccessible and useless! Any suggestions? I'd be most grateful.

Hello, Molly! Terribly sorry for the poor experience. Those little nuisances are fairly common on Tor, and reCaptcha seems to be even more aggressive lately. I'm not sure how to remedy the issue at this time, unfortunately 😞

Nor am I, Sampson! As you are likely aware, CAPTCHA has been a long and painful general and #a11y access issue. At least a decade was spent and failed at resolution. Thanks for understanding at the least! :)
