I regret leaving the web standards project. I thought that's because Microsoft had offered me it would have been a conflict of interest. In hindsight I recognize that my commitment to authenticity would have me walking before lying. The decision that we were done was my death too
Sometimes I think that's Great: movements don't need to be centralized.
Sometimes I think we need it back: It was a huge inspiration & resource for what the web _could_ be. Articulating a bigger vision.
