I applied a couple of times back when you could apply and was turned down. Seems arbitrary, listed all my books and so on, but not notable enough. However there were plenty of dudes with 2k followers and no obvious reason with a tick.

Is it gender bias? Cuz there's entire populations not there due to physical difference. With me I got heavier before chemo - fat shaming? Ableism? Age? YOU, like @dori @shelleypowers are primary in our gen's women dev leaders. Recognition is part of meritocracy. Web site time?

so I'm on a Journalism MA at the moment and I had wondered about doing this very thing for my dissertation project. I'd love to create a site telling these stories. I know so many folk get missed out of the accounts, and there will be more I don't know of.

It’s not just women (aka, white women) who’ve been erased from the history. It’s everyone who isn’t a white man & so can’t fit one of the hero narratives — the nerdy magical nerd, the tough angry genius who changes the world, the chill woke soft guy that “everyone” loves. 😤
