Just finished a two-year curriculum for #WebDev. It took a few hours to refine an outline. For the first year, there is not one Web language, tool or practice and could be done with no computer at all. Year two all the tech! What subjects do you imagine are in that first year?

I hope privacy & security are part of the first year.

And web accessibility principles.

Every first year course provides lifelong skills to achieve all of the above.

I agree that it's better to get students to adopt the right mindset before they start writing code.
