My career has been blessed with anecdotes and strange encounters. I should share more of the funny ones. I don't know if I was liked, tolerated or so fearless and odd myself but I was fortunate as an outspoken woman. A few rare exceptions - Jakob Nielsen tops my not funny list.

So true Faruk! And imagine my first exposure was a session in 1999 in Pasadena when he and Jared Spool went face to face on UX. I'd never met either prior so that was a bit of strange alright!

There's some epic history. Same year too - you and I met later I think? I never met Don Norman. I did meet Steve Krug in New York. Loved his book, him not so much. Pre 9/11. There's a great pic of Zeldman and me both with. long curly hair. "What a time it was.." When did we meet?
