The more time I spend with #Javascript Framework code, the more I am convinced the devolution and/or dislike of the #CSS Cascade makes sense. Whether it's building an entire application interface or a standalone app or a one-size "responsive" plug n' play app/site I'm seeing why.

You’re reminding me I’ve got to get off my butt and start getting a site built for my lodge. I feel old and rusty right now, so I’ve been delaying it. I was planning on plain HTML and CSS with minimal JavaScript. The target audience is much older and not as tech savvy.

The open web stack does what it is meant to. do when applied logically. That's a logical approach, not old and rusty providing good #a11y is in play at all times. HTML forms have come up a lot as others point out as being huge fail spots in accessibilty audits.

Which one are you using if you don’t mind the ask?

Which Framework? Mostly #ReactJS as it's prevalent but I study/examine others, CMSs and related too from the POV of systems and process engineering, in this case.

Gotcha. Since I've followed your work for a while, I'll give react a serious look. You taught me a lot so I listen carefully when you speak.

Thank you. I am always learning and often wrong, or not the best at process for all as one size just...doesn't ;-) I do think deeply and study hard because I know there's as much power in Web for good due to huge adoption and reach. We are in a dark night. Which precedes dawn.

Amen to that. At one time I was contemplating Django or Flask because I spend more time in python these days. However, it feels like overkill for a site about a country Freemason’s lodge. I need, once I finish this masters and PhD to get my hand back in web dev. I had fun once

Me too. Freemason eh? I know quite a few! A site like that screams for open web stack, minimal JS. It's purpose is very OG Web. AKA not an app. :D
