I feel some US Jews and Blacks intersect with Civil Rights. Ancient Jews came from where? Africa. Specifically: Ethiopia, Sudan, Somalia. My genetics reflect North Africa. Bit o' neanderthal lowered my IQ. Nomadic so then up to Persia. Some over to Spain. Czech, Hungary, Baltic.

This relationship was evident to me as a child seeing Rabbis march alongside Martin Luther King, Jr. on a little b&w Motorola TV. And my family, while traumatized, violent and weird is filled with tremendous social justice and civil liberties and rights. Because we are hated too.

I'm always grateful to my Jewish and Quaker friends, among others, for being vocal and consistent on anti-racism and demonstrating allyship. And yeah, a lot of it doesn't come from outside their own family and personal experience.
