A sincere and heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful folks who responded to my Wikipedia bio woes of both personal and social divisions related to gender, race and identity. @WikiWomenInRed deserves an ovation. @pigsonthewing @metablog and so many others: Thank you so much.

The more I look at how @Wikipedia actually works, a shift in my thoughts about how and why there's such a love/hate in the industry are clarifying. Its system design and rules read like W3C specs of old. It is biased. It asks for ethical boundaries people will inevitably ignore.

This just makes @Wikipedia a product of the Web as an extension of humans at their best, worst and everything in between. These are course-correctable through communication and clarity. No matter the personal and social issues, that it is the go-to for Web users at large matters.
