I made a joke and people got pissed at me about it. The joke was about the FBI's comment here in US. The joke? "Fuck that bullshit, the man is honorable and totally HOT! :D

I think I was accused of racism today, which is a new one for me. (The accusation didn't work very well though---I heard it as an assertion that prejudice against groups in society and bullying of children for their names are OK.)

I'm so sorry. What a nightmare.

It was the Karen thing. To me, it's the first name of a few people I've known, including a good friend. Now, it's being used as a label for racist women. I object to a name being used in this way, and I think it's going to result in bullying of children who have the name.

Apparently it's racist to object.

"Friend of my Enemy is my Enemy" fallacy here? You stand up for generic K: you are part of the generic K 'enemy'. ~2008: Trolls harrassed a Tw. friend, wanting her suspended. I told her how to have Tw suspend /them/; they turned on me. Tw suspended the trolls within hours :)

Replying to @Eridanus @timtfj
Yeah, that quote never sat right with me anyway. It's manipulative social engineering at best which is not the way my own brain works. I don't have enemies. If someone acts like an enemy toward me, I am reactionary emotionally at first and then I do exactly what you did: Suspend!
