I'm not sure what your original post was and searching Twitter is too traumatic. I too am so in need of a lower volume and actual signals with meaning.

I tweeted you as a reply to a tweet about Bill Gates' plan for manufacturing vaccines---it reminded me of what you once told me about his attitude to charitable work.

I'll find the tweet for you if you like.

Can you also find me the tweet (or at least the sentiment) about BG's attitude to charitable work?

I don't think such a tweet exists, but I've DM'd you about it.

As for Gates' charitable work, at one time I'd have snarked. I personally have nothing but great admiration for taking his money and using it the way Jobs or Bezos could have - helping humanity. Microsoft is the one for-profit corporation I truly loved working with and for.

I remember one time I did say something snarky about it and you put me right rather quickly :-) It sounded as though he was a lot more excited about helping people than about Microsoft.

These days, without question. And also helping humans, which is called growing up and owning mistakes and making them right. I am learning the importance of this, and therefore I see him in a very different light than 30 years ago, that's for sure.

Jobs couldn鈥檛 have, he didn鈥檛 *have* Bezos money. He was a billionaire after he sold Pixar to Disney, but only barely, and he didn鈥檛 get basically any of Apple鈥檚 success.
