These days, I would go static with jeckyll managed pages on an S3 bucket, or maybe github pages. I do not think I have that much content to need a database, and I could forget about attacks.

That sounds like a great setup. Also, it reveals that you have no haters, bless your wonderful heart! Something about my big mouth has attracted a few mean-spirited people. Who are also so much better at DDOS attacks than I ever want to be! It's the price of my 'narrow' fame. 馃檭

We have a service called Edge, it runs on GCP and gives you developer tools along with isolated cPanel accounts & WHM. Is that what you're looking for?

Don't know of your full requirements - I don't want to sysadmin, so, DreamHost... If you want to sysadmin? Probably Linode.

For hosting, I have a woman-owned small business that hosts my sites. With my cPanels I typically install WordPress, although I do have a few that use straight hand-coded HTML and CSS. But I would use NameCheap[dot]com, if I didn't have my current host. I hope that answers.

As a host I can run other CMS software on? No can-do. I got a few stories for next catch-up ;-)
