Recently the ever-insightful always delightful @redcrew reminded us of the independent nature that #blogs at their best can inspire. The challenge for me is finding a solid home to do that - one identity, one place to be whole and consistent again. How do you keep blogging on?

I enjoy the process of writing, and the research whether it be reading a book, watching a movie, or digging in to a topic I want to know more about. I keep blogging for me. That anyone reads it, is a bonus.

It's only because I started the blog as a writing exercise that it came to be a thing I do for me. But explaining that to others who have ideas is hard because they want to know about readership. In truth, I'd take a small community over large readership numbers.

ANY DAY! I have so many posts, tweets and quips about "getting more followers" as in WHY? Quality is everything. I learned that the hardest of ways, and I hold it near and dear. Quantity is needed, but Quality is the "schmaltz" (Yiddish for 'fat, richness') of life :D xo/m

Oh, I know schmaltz... Also, and I could get into trouble here... I know that in some houses schmaltz is the secret ingredient to marvelous matzo balls... But you didn't hear it from me!
