Denmark has always seemed a truly decent country, but I haven't been there :( Iceland is a remarkably beautiful country but both are way too cold for me! Also, I really prefer to see color both in land and people.

Costa Rica seems to be doing well. There are probably issues with the treatment of native people which is common through America, but they seem to be less horrible than most other countries at the moment. I don't live there, though, surely there are things I don't know about.

An American friend is leaving. A lot of the places that we once thought to be great aren't great. Humans!

Both benefit from low population and both are not as idyllic as I thought. My first time in New Zealand was in Wellington. I went for a walk. Some kids were drinking beer under a pier. They were all Maori and they were not at all enthusiastic about their homeland.
