It is an astringent, you might feel a slight heat that soothes and goes away after a moment. Some are extra bitter so kids don't consume it.

Nope. He uses one special alcohol to extract the essence from the flowers. And then spends several days evaporating the alcohol.

That results in a black paste. That paste is diluted in oil so it can be manipulated. My oil is almost black

That tastes yucky IMO. It's a different thing than refined oils. Been around a long time but often use too many chemicals, BHO, PHO, Ethanol

RSO is actually not just for pain and other medical issues such as cachexia. It's been shown in a few small studies to slow glioma growth.

Any of the above. Depends on what you are hoping to accomplish. ALSO... You might want to look at terpenes. RSO is a commitment. My wife has chronic nerve damage and a THC only tincture with girl scout cookies terpenes added back in help. I'm going to experiment from that base.

Terpenes are definitely worthy of study as it's where most of the subtle medical effects, flavor and scent come from. When treating neuropathy, THC tincture with certain terps definitely could help your wife! But any strain is going to have its own terp profile. For Glioma, RSO.

RSO is a commitment! Source is important. RSO is whole plant extraction, whereras other extractions only use the flowers or for top-top-shelf, just the trichomes. So RSO is very dark and thick. As for Terpenes, we need to know which are present in a given batch to target medical.
