How this country has systemically taken everything from the Native Americans is an embarassment. If you want some eye-opening history, I'd recommend read/listen to "How to Hide an Empire". It explains so very much about our built-in inequity.

I do not want that blood nor the blood of slavery on my hands. My family was fighting for their own lives in Persia and Eastern Europe. The natives fought hard, just as the Mexicans died in the Mexican-American war. Fear of brown, black, Jews, on and on except Protestant males.

Normally I'd agree, but almost a 25% of Native Americans are among the poorest communities anywhere in the US. 31% in Arizona.
