Few will remember, but we once had a "Where are the women" panel at SXSW. I think it was the same year as the first "Blogging While Black" - both lasted a few years and were wonderful. I miss those conversations, which still matter despite being overrun by hate. Anyone remember?

Yes, 2005. And you invited @meyerweb to join the panel.

And he brought a small but very real fire extinguisher and sat it on the table. A lot of people were mad I invited a man to a talk about women when he was at the time the main person writing about the challenge of finding women speakers! Doing what was done to you never works.

Did it bother you? No judgement here. I see why folks have that opinion. I also see why Israel is a symbolic ideal but just as predatory as any enemy ever has been and run by a megalomaniacal criminal also above the law. I never understood this because it is an infinite loop.
INCLUSION. I have many Muslim friends and we are more alike in heritage and influence. Abrahamic religions, cousins. Never had a problem as I don't hang out with extremists of almost any kind and my own extremes soften with age, time, and correct treatment. I know my demons now.
