I once went to casualty in Manchester feeling quite ill. Waited in the hot sweat overcrowded waiting area for 3 hours. Doctor found a respiratory infection and gave me meds. I walked out and in my loud American (New York no less) voice said "Where do I pay?" OMG the laughter! :)

I can top that. And many can top me. I lost everything despite having and paying insurance. Which clearly was not insuring anything. It is inhumane and tragic.

Layers and layers of middlemen/co's. Everyone wants that big dollar payout. They don't care if a patient dies, especially in chronic disability where tax paying stops. Why do people crave more than they need?
