My husband went to Vietnam and came home broken and sick and died an agonizing death over the period of his full post-war life. He was younger than the man with bone spurs who signed it. I keep it in a drawer but he'd have burnt it. #MemorialDay #IMissYouRay #SemperFi #Courage 馃嚭馃嚫

Around 1965, an Army doctor gave me a 4F Selective Service rating due to scoliosis. I challenged the rating, joined AFROTC, and spent 4 yrs in the USAF after my graduation. My father didn't raise me to dodge military service. He served in the Army during WWII.
