On a serious note, I was broken a while ago. I’m still not well but getting better. I’m heading in a different direction and even though sometimes it’s ā€œone step forwards, two steps backā€, I’m now facing the right way.

I appreciate that more than you know, although I’m talking about it less. I’ve been told in many a therapy session ā€œit’s not your faultā€. I need to keep sight of, and own, those parts that were. Owning it is how I’ll recover

That was absolutely the time in my own therapy where things began to click. "This belongs to me" and "This belongs to others" - own my own shit and leave people to muck out their own. It's a very good place to get to in any therapeutic process in my experience. I still use it. šŸ’š
