Light dusting of snow

It's not stopped in certain areas and 3 inches is not a light dusting for the Las Vegas Valley, my dear. Also, it is windy, below freezing and roads are closing due to black ice. This type of event has rarely been document! Not to mention what kind of agony it causes. Pretty tho!

By Montana standards, it is a light dusting. What I hated were whiteout blizzards. Many times I drove over the center line to make sure I was on the highway. On dirt roads I depended on fence posts as an estimate.

That may well be in the Valley, but we has mountains and this is Southern Nevada. Northern Nevada is rather cold and often snows.

I have driven over the Sierra montains in some nasty snow storms. Putting chains on a semi, in a snow storm, sucks. Chain the tractor drivers going up, and one set of chains on the trailer going down. It is safer pulling a trailer down than the triailer pushing you down.
