I cannot understand intelligent people who still think Trump is the solution to everything. I met a woman in the activities room yesterday who just moved in and she is a New England blue blood and made sure she let me know her family came here on the Mayflower several times.

New Englanders are mainly Republican save for Massachusetts which is extremely liberal. Like my Twitter thread earlier about my interaction at the town hall I was at getting paperwork done for my vehicle. It amazes me as well.

When I was growing up there were a lot more union-oriented folks who tended toward social democrats in the North East. I cannot believe what happened. I can now happily blame Giuliani who is really showing his true colors these days.

My grandfather was one of those union-oriented people. Teamsters I think. I miss him and the days when I was a wee lad and he was around. Simpler times.

My father and his side of the family were all teamsters (and the jewish branch of the New York Mafia) and Mom was AFL-CIO. Union and labor all the way.
