You are a true friend. I think of you very often and miss you dearly. The last time we saw each other was the day my bone marrow failed in LA. July 15, 2013 when you took me to the hospital. Hard times for both, but we're here in a new year. I count that as AMAZING considering.

I've made a few more trips to that hospital since then but I've had to do without your presence. Yet I always feel you there, urging me on, giving me courage. Thank you.

I'm both sad and touched. You do that to me a lot because you articulate well. I'm glad my presence is with you and brings courage, as yours is with mine.

The lowest point in my life was in 2018 when I spent a month fighting for my life in a nursing home. Then I was focused on survival. Tweeting was too difficult. I'm deathly afraid of going back there. But I know you'll be there for me, even when we don't communicate directly.
