Would folks just prefer it if I tweeted about Beyonce? People wonder why I don't blog anymore. No one reads if it's more than 300 words at MOST anymore. In fact, I blame lack of reading on the mass decline of our society. Or inability to read on it as well. READ REAL BOOKS AGAIN!

"The Tale of Genji" written by Murasaki Shikibu (real name unknown) is a 11th Century Japanese novel written as two line poetic messages. All we know is that Muasaki was a female attendant in the royal court. Quality of poetry was critical. How about tweets as two-line poems?

Twitter poems are wonderful, especially if you write them in a thread and can read each tweet in any order or independently. I do that with some frequency :) Twitter Haiku for me n' you!

Haiku was the only language that women were permitted to use. Although, Murasaki secretly learned Chinese. She was a rebel. Yet, her book became the tutorial for proper court behavior.
