In Arizona and Nevada (I'm from Brooklyn) I watched as the police became more and more militarized. Yes, it's a culture of fear-mongering Fear breeds hate. How can a Border Patrol agent let a 7 year old girl in custody DIE? Fear mongering is at the heart of our very uncivil war.

Yeah it's an interesting thing to see, and of course connects to the racism and white supremacist modes of thought. Easy to turn people monstrous when you traffic in fear

The "browning of America" - the horror! Barter human slaves, oppress the native not at all white people and create some really good ideals meant only for land-owning married white males. US stole most of the border states from Mexico too. Immigrants when they needed the labor.
