There is no way the VA has been keeping all its data on a 50 year old computer device. Maybe on an iPhone made at Google and throttled by Ajit Pai, but c'mon. Bullshit. I watched it happen with my husband in Arizona. No punch cards in those facilities. I guess war and crime pay.

OH the VA. You bring up the VA now? Reminds of that old line "Niagara Falls? Slowly I turn , step by step..." I'm not a Vet but I've heard the horror stories and wonder, when will it ever get fixed???

I doubt that the VA depends on a single 50 year old computer. However, it is altogether possible that a single application still depends on that computer. Old computers never die, they just fade away.

It's utter b.s. They could be running some archaic MUMPS stuff but when it comes to processing benefits and medical through the VA? It's fine if there's staff. There's your real problem - the VA is broke.
