Wow, what an interesting thought Jen! We do learn differently within gender as well. A corollary from research into Color - XY hetero males tend to describe color simplistically. Coral is simply pink. Research leans to learning and behavior as XY alone does not a rainbow make! 馃槏
Many, if not most, of the great resources for learning CSS were made by women. I can鈥檛 help but wonder if that鈥檚 why some men struggle with it so much. Long threads arguing about CSS, pointing to subpar tutorials. Too many men simply cannot respect anything created by a woman.

I keep echoing what Munsell said in 1908, color names are meaningless. The ISCC-NBS dictionary of colors lists pink as a level 1 category. Level 2 contains 3 subcategories for pink. Level 3 expands the number of pink colors to 27! This is from a quick search of the dictionary.

I love how extremely technical your research work is Bill. I suspect a joining between education, science, technology and society would be very beneficial for our understanding of the color and perception. What's your take?

While it is still more expensive, the hardware technology exists. The lack of color management software reduces the incentive for lowering hardware costs, as wider gamuts remain in the domain of the professionals. It is no longer 1995, it is time to move forward.
