Yeah. And their has been at least one more death of a migrant we have detained. Not to mention Puerto Rico. It is unbelievably shameful. #JanuaryIsComing

Exactly. We sit at a remarkable point in history that is disturbing on so many levels. But I grow more hopeful every day. The events of the last week give me confidence that things are going to change in 2019.

Ryan, I really hope you're right. Dems are brilliantly positioned and note that every single Mexican border state went blue along the border. We have a beautiful House representing the truly great USA. My idealism remains. Optimism took a huge hit though.

Oh yeah. Fall of 2017 hit me real hard. After Charlottesville especially it felt hopeless. But leading up to the mid-terms and since it my optimism has been growing slowly.

And today marks Sandy Hook. The violence in this nation is relentless, endless and everywhere. In the world, but as a USA born to immigrant family this actually shocked my hair white! I'm glad to hear your mood is encouraging. Keep that up, I need infusions of optimism daily :D
