I'm up-posting this thread from Matt Mullenweg (on Facebook) regarding WordPress and #accessibility. What bothers me most about the exchange is the complete lack of accountability here. #WordPress #accessibility #a11y #ThereAreNoWebStandards

It's not big news WordPress ain't exactly #a11y and the moment you go out and hire someone who dives into the end of the pool with a horror story of an essay to talk about it, there's a problem. It's called "bad choices." #WordPress #accessibility #a11y #ThereAreNoWebStandards

Matt @photomatt Mullenweg to thread: "Wow, some really big assumptions and attacks. Sorry it seems to make sense to you that after 15 years of supporting accessibility and web standards we would do a 180." #WordPress #accessibility #a11y #ThereAreNoWebStandards

Molly E. Holzschlag: Matt Mullenweg the reality is it's already a problem. There is no assumption about this. I am not attacking you I am attacking the ACT. I love you. You are a good soul but misinformed about real #accessibility and why #WordPress is a problem pre #Gutenberg.

Ryan Benson: (@rguy84 - Section 508 compliance and #a11y at @CDCgov ) I remember talking to you about accessibility when wp.com was in beta, and the response was eh maybe at some point, paraphrasing of course. #WordPress #accessibility #a11y

Molly: This is not in the least funny to me. I do love and respect my colleagues. But we have all strayed too far off the idealistic path, and have ended up with a hateful, boring and completely unusable, inaccessible Web in my opinion. What say you? xo/m (Molly and Matt, 2004)
