I often wonder if I'm the only one left
Who still carries our industry's DNA in my blood, my very sick blood but alive and true,

While I'm not a day to day developer any longer. I still long to make it right whenever I put a finger to the keyboard. (Beautiful, functional, as bullet proof as I can, and accessible)

I'm not good at applied web Dev and Design but I'm a world class analyst and very good at seeing the cross-sections of technology and Society. motivating, teaching and writing, sharing and caring. We are what we are. There are things that change as we age but we retain our core.

That's why I moved into databases and into data analytics. I liked writing sites, but I found I was much better at teasing the hidden out of the data. I still keep my hand in, but I'm much more careful and thoughtful about what I write.

And me toward speaking, writing and advocacy. It makes sense. I think we're both very lucky to have found our unique strengths and adjusted life to fit them rather than trying to fit our individuality into a cube farm. :D

Way to make a girl all weepy, Tony. But in a good way. We all want our lives to be meaningful in some way, and for me, it's to be of service to others. The part I didn't learn and am learning now is how to take care of myself, too. You inspire me with loyalty, kindness, truth.
